Who: Clergy, youth leaders and parents who want to be equipped to support youth who are dealing with trauma, mental illness, or other mental health challenges.
What: While this facilitator training will prepare you to be a facilitator for the HOP program in your setting, it is also an excellent opportunity to learn how to support youth who may come to you with their stories about mental health issues and/or traumatic experiences.
This training is being offered by The Wisconsin Initiative for Stigma Elimination (WISE) and Rogers inHealth.
The HOP program is designed to help individuals look at the stories they have been telling themselves, discern helpful and hurtful self-attitudes, and analyze the pros and cons of disclosing in different settings to different people. It also guides them to draft their own story into a format that discloses not only the pain of mental health challenges but also the internal and external resources they discovered and use to live their life in the way they choose.

Where: Trost Center, Wisconsin Conference UCC, 4459 Gray Rd., DeForest, WI 53532
