Exploring a Health Reimbursement Account

As you know, the Wisconsin Conference is ending our Shared Cost Health Insurance program at the end of this year.  For some of our pastors, that will mean exploring Plans B and C, which provide the same coverage but at lower premiums and higher deductibles and co-pays.  One of the ways to mitigate the challenge of extra medical expenses is to establish a Health Reimbursement Account.  We have invited Jeff Luedke and Lynn Metoxen to explain how this works and the benefits of such a plan.  They will be sharing information Monday October 21 at 2:00 pm at the Trost Center in DeForest.  If you are in the Northwest you may want to join us through video conference from either, Grace UCC, Wausau or First Congregational UCC, Eau Claire.  Please invite key leaders from your church to explore this option with you.  Please register through this link.  We understand this is very short notice however we want to get this information to you before you completed the documents for the Pension Boards.  There is an annual cost for this type of Health Reimbursement Account, but – among other things – it allows you to roll over unused funds into the next year.
