Annual Meeting 2016 – Thursday Workshop
Thursday, June 9, 2016
10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Green Lake Conference Center
Leading Adaptive Change with Your Congregation
with Mark Tidsworth of Pinnacle Leadership Associates
Successful organisms adapt to their changing environments; becoming sustainable in the process. North America is currently a high change environment for congregations. At the same time, our world is hungry for faith communities based on the love of God expressed through Jesus Christ. Congregations are living in the tension between the world’s needs and the church’s culture.
This learning experience will engage our context as we find it, considering how to shift ourselves so that we can adapt well. Participants will engage:
- Learning which raises our awareness about our current ministry context
- The Developmental Response Continuum which informs us about our congregation’s journey
- Stories of adaptive and non-adaptive congregations
- The Key Practices for cultivating healthy adaptive change
- A framework for identifying your congregation’s next steps in pursuing God’s calling in your context
Mark Tidsworth is focused on the intersection of faith and culture. Starting Pinnacle Leadership Associates, Mark serves as its President.
