“Love Your Neighbor” Social Innovation Challenge Registration

All are welcome to attend First Congregational UCC Janesville’s “Love Your Neighbor” Social Innovation Challenge. This event is a collaborative competition where people will come together to develop creative ideas for exhibiting “Love Your Neighbor” in Janesville.

We are seeking innovative ideas and projects that create social and/or environmental value. We are also seeking collaborative contributors and curious co-conspirators to add value to the ideas and encourage implementation. All project ideas will focus on ways that we can demonstrate a love of our neighbors within Janesville. Participants can be anyone with an idea and their idea can be at any stage from “just an idea” to a project already launched and running. All are welcome!

Individuals or teams will have multiple opportunities throughout the day to share their ideas and receive feedback from mentors and also from their peers. Every person/team who would like to pitch their idea and join the competition will have one minute early in the day to share their idea with the whole group.

Top pitches will be chosen through a democratic voting process. The top ideas from the morning pitch time will be matched with a mentor to work through their project/business plan and further refine their pitch. At the end of the day, the final 2 minute pitches are given along with 3 minutes of Q&A from a panel of judges. After a vote by all present, the prize money of $6000 will be distributed to the 5 winning ideas!

Please note that each person attending must fill out a registration. Select from the following:

• Innovator (for those coming to pitch a “Love your Neighbor” project/idea)
• Collaborator (for those interested in learning about social innovation and contributing to a team)
• Mentor (for those who have been invited to participate as mentors to guide and shape the ideas presented)

If there will be more than one person attending from your team, each attendee must complete this registration as an individual.

You should receive a confirmation of your registration within a few days of submitting the form.
