Faith Formation at Home

Parents and Caregivers Compassion Resilience Toolkit
WISE and Rogers’ InHealth Department are excited to announce the launching of the Parents and Caregivers Compassion Resilience Toolkit. You can find the Toolkit here.
This Toolkit is organized for a facilitator team to implement eight sessions for parents and caregivers. The content is designed to build upon parents’ and caregivers’ compassion resilience, covering such topics as compassion in action, compassion fatigue, expectations, boundaries, modeling and wellness practices. Though designed for facilitators, individuals could also benefit from reviewing this content on their own and reflecting on their parenting practices.
For those interested in learning more about what the Toolkit has to offer, InHealth is offering a FREE three-hour Toolkit Overview training. It will be delivered virtually in two 1.5 hour segments from 9-10:30am CTS on May 1st and May 8th. If you are interested in attending the Overview, please RSVP to Alison Wolf.

Story/coloring book for Holy Week and Easter – Ministry during the COVID-19 pandemic requires new ways of connecting with children and families. The folks at Picture the Bible created a story/coloring book for Holy Week and Easter.  You can print the book and send to your families or forward the link and invite families to print the book themselves. Either way you will provide an opportunity for children and families to learn and grow together.  This resource is provided by The Rev. Stacy Johnson Myers, First Congregational Church in River Falls.  You may download it for FREE here.  The book offers:

  • A simple retelling of each story with Bible references
  • Illustrations of each story from the Picture the Bible collection
  • Five drawings to color
  • An interactive question

This is a great resource for youth ministry leaders during the pandemic, from the Institute for Youth Ministry at Princeton Theological Seminary.
