What We Do

The Southeast Association

The Southeast Wisconsin Association of the United Church of Christ provides support to the 48 UCC churches in the Association.  Focus, resources, and a shared vision led by the churches of the Association help to support each church in their mission to their members.

As part of the Wisconsin Conference, your Southeast Association is working on your behalf to strengthen and support your local congregation and ministries. Your Association PROVIDES assistance and resources to churches seeking new pastoral leadership, HELPS those churches that are undergoing unusual difficulties, RESPONDS to specific requests of particular concerns or needs, REFERS concerns to the appropriate Team, larger body, or ministerial staff, OFFERS programs that directly relate to the local church programming, SUPPORTS the ministerial staff’s professional growth and sharing with other ministers, ORGANIZES an annual meeting for the churches to gather, share, and worship together, ADMINISTERS faithfully and responsively on behalf of the 54 churches that make up your Southeast Association.

Your Association also works on your behalf by overseeing the preparation of individuals for authorized ministry in the United Church of Christ. Your Association also encourages, guides and assists new congregations who wish to enter into our Association.

Your Association will speak and work on your behalf in order to be true to our understanding of the Gospel message and the understanding that God is still speaking to us and through us!
