The Wisconsin Conference United Church of Christ is seeking a talented, results-driven Communications Lead to contribute to the success of key Conference initiatives and programs by creating and executing effective communications strategies and tactics. This is a half-time position reporting to the Conference Minister, who serves as president.
The Wisconsin Conference United Church of Christ is a nonprofit, faith-based organization that provides an extensive support system to Wisconsin’s 215 UCC churches, their clergy and members. Similar to a membership organization, the Conference provides resources, guidance, programs, education and direct services to support and strengthen our member congregations.

The Communications Lead for the Wisconsin Conference United Church of Christ is responsible for overall communications strategy and implementation for the Conference. The primary purpose of this position is to develop and execute communications to build awareness of Conference services, increase engagement with these services and encourage continuing financial support of the Conference. The Communications Lead works closely with staff and various teams to execute communications utilizing an array of digital and print media. An understanding of how to deliver communications to support organizational mission and goals is key to this position.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. We’re seeking a candidate who possesses a strong command of communications practices, methodologies and technologies who can effectively managing multiple concurrent initiatives. Strong editing and/or writing skills are important, as is the ability to achieve goals working with teams as well as independently.
