David Moyer
Rev. David S. Moyer serves as the Conference Minister for the Wisconsin Conference UCC.
He has ministered in the Wisconsin Conference for three decades. As the pastoral leader of the Wisconsin Conference since 2001, he brings gifts of vision, leadership, friendship, good humor, hard work, and love for the church. He is concerned about the vitality of the local congregations; he is committed to finding ways for church growth and revitalization to occur through the guidance of the Holy Spirit; and he works to sustain and strengthen the relationship between the Wisconsin Conference and our national church. Dave grew up in a parsonage family, graduating from high school in Amherst, Ohio. He attended Elmhurst College, from which he earned the B.A. in 1969, and Eden Theological Seminary, which awarded him the M. Div. in 1972. He completed his D. Min. at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1988.
He served in the parish ministry from 1972 through 1988, first as associate minister of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lockport, Illinois, for four years, and then as pastor of the Windsor (Wisconsin) United Church of Christ through 1988. In that year he was called to become the Association Minister of the Northwest Association of the Wisconsin Conference of the UCC, a ministry in which he has was engaged for nearly thirteen years.
He is married to Ann Scott Moyer, and they have three children: Andrew, Betsy, and Katherine.
