Young Adult Coordinating Team (YACT)
Young Adult Coordinating Team (YACT) is made up
of representatives from each of the four associations. Young
Adult Coordinating Team “Y-ACT
wants to serve as a bridge between churches and Young Adults in the Wisconsin
Conference UCC.” … A bridge over troubled water? … A
bridge over a frightening gap? - If you are missing people between the
ages of 20 and 40 in your church, - If you ask yourself: Where are all the
young people? - If you are wondering what you
do wrong, - If you are wondering what they
do wrong, - If you are angry and call them a
“lost generation”…
Our
Ministry Could Be Helpful For You! The Young Adult Coordinating Team of the
Conference (Y-ACT) is a group of lay people and pastors in their twenties and
thirties with a passion for ministry for our generation. We
would like to come to your church and take a look with you at the following themes
that we find necessary and helpful to understand our church’s current
situation: What is “Generation X”? Who are they, and who are we? What do they need from us as a church? What can they offer our faith community?
What has “Modernity” and
Post-Modernity” to do with it? How did we come to where we are now in
our church culture and in the American culture at large? We
would like to come to your church (or a cluster of churches) for two different WORKSHOPS: ROAD
SHOW 1
– “Looking
at Things Through A New Lens”, Ministry with Generation X (4-5 hour learning event) ROAD
SHOW 2
– “Our
Changing World”, Modernity/Post-Modernity
(3 hour learning event, builds on Road Show 1) We
come in for free on a Saturday or Sunday (afternoon) and would only ask you to
provide lunch for us. If
