QUESTIONS & ANSWERS Of the Special Gifts Campaign WHY IS THE SUCCESS
OF THE CAMPAIGN SO IMPORTANT? A successful Campaign will allow us to honor Dr. Ley and
Dr. Trost appropriately for their extraordinary commitment of ministry to the
Wisconsin Conference and United Church Camps, Inc.
It will also provide the necessary funds to meet the needs for new
facilities and development at our outdoor ministry sites and at the WHY ARE PLEDGES
SOUGHT RATHER THAN ONE-TIME GIFTS? One time gifts will not be sufficient to attain our minimum
goal of $500,000, intermediate goal of $750,000 or our challenge goal of
$1,000,000 for the Special Gifts Campaign.
Pledges are encouraged over a period of 3-5 years.
The Campaign depends on generous stewardship based on a commitment to
Christ. Payments for the Campaign
may be made monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually or any other way you
prefer. WHAT SHOULD BE MY
RESPONSE? Everyone will be challenged to consider a “suggested
asking figure” for the Special Gifts
Campaign and should then base their gift according to their response to
God’s love and blessings. We are
all asked to examine our hearts, our situation, and our commitment to Christ’s
church as we make our individual decision of support for the Special
Gifts Campaign. Plan your gift
at the highest possible level. Please
keep in mind that this is your opportunity to pay tribute to Dr. Ley and Dr.
