New Delegate and Visitors…we
invite you to learn more about the 2008 Annual Meeting, its purpose and theme.
Staff will review items on the business agenda, discuss delegate
responsibilities, instruct you on how to speak to an issue, and answer your
questions. Come to the Mitchell
dining room in the
Kraft
Center
at
11:30 a.m.
on Friday.
Saturday
v
The
day begins with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. in the
Kraft
Center
. The Conference Historical
Committee will host their annual breakfast honoring those clergy celebrating
significant Ordination Anniversaries
in the Tower dining room.
v
At noon,
CUE Seminaries will host a luncheon in the Tower
dining room in the
Kraft
Center
. Watch for additional information
on the program to be offered.
v
Saturday
evening’s entertainment will be the Wisconsin Conference Gospellers,
an all-conference choir organized to travel to the Berlin-Brandenburg region
of Germany, where its members will be hosted by congregations of our sister
church, the Union der Evangelischen Kirchen (Union of Protestant Churches).
Over two weeks in June 2008 the group will join with German gospel choirs
to sing in concerts and worship services. The
tour comes at the invitation of the West End Gospel Singers, who toured the
Wisconsin Conference in fall of 2006. The
Gospellers' motto is: "Gott singt immer noch - God is still singing." Martin
Ulrich of
Sheboygan
and Kate Jennings of
Baldwin
serve as its directors. Judith
Permann accompanies on the piano.
